Look 2 – Getting the White & Blue basics right!

Like mentioned in my previous look blog post, I normally use the marketing concept – K.I.S.S. (Keep it simple silly) in some ways for fashion! In this look, I am trying to nail the obvious white and blue look, but with a little bit of quirk here and there. I have also recently been reading a lot about how the fashion industry is one of the biggest producers of waste in the world. With this thought in mind, I have been trying to curate basics with a twist – which can easily be used in different ways. Not everything is this season, as we need to be conscious and use (read reuse) even last season pieces in the best possible ways. A little imagination and a lot of confidence can go a long way!

Would love to hear what you think of it, scroll below to see details.

Got this white peplum shirt from Zara last season- I have been in love with it ever since. Paired it with distressed basic blue shorts and the never out of style Adidas superstars!

Coming to the accessories – obsessed with this Camera bag which I picked up randomly in Bangkok. Even the floral cap is from Bangkok vendors.

Sunglasses – Tod’s

Ring – Aphrodite by Shweta P

Again the ring and bag just add some element of quirk to the outfit. I usually like caps and sunglasses to keep my face safe from harmful rays!

I think we all need to look at ways to keep fashion waste as little as possible. It’s not only the brands prerogative to keep the waste at bay – we as consumers need to open our eyes!

Previously, I have used this shirt with plain blue jeans, red pumps and a branded bag for an event. There are so many things that can be done, we just need to keep thinking! I am working on multiple blogs on how to use one basic clothing in multiple ways as well. Hoping it would help you all in some way!

Stay simple! Stay Stylish!
