5 Pre Diwali Designer Looks Under 10k!

Festivities are here – so is my favorite time of the year! Totally love the vibe in Delhi these days and what I also love the most is the dressing up, socializing and card parties 😀

What also comes along is a lot of shopping! Have to be ready with a couple of outfits for all the card parties with family, cousins, friends, friends of friends etc. – you get the picture!

If you go through the same thing read on. Over the past 1 month I was trying to find good designers who would have indo-western or light outfits, but, in my budget! Yes, but I wanted to make sure they look very premium 😀 ! I am all for my designer bags, shoes and clothes but when you have to add multiple outfits to your wardrobe within the same week and you are probably going to use them only once, you can be a little budget friendly! So here is my secret to look like a million bucks but not spend as much 😛

  1. This Purple drape by Dessara

I am obsessed with drapes! I think if they are styled well and they fit well – they can make you look super stylish. This color is the hottest color of the season and the minimalistic embroidery just adds that touch of glam. All you have to do is add hot stilettos, one statement piece of jewellery and a clutch – you are ready to go!

Dessara is owned by this very sweet girl – Akanksha, she doesn’t do much marketing or exhibiting (I don’t know why) but all her pieces are exquisite. She really has a great sense of style, she is super fast with delivery and can customize outfits to your budget! If you are looking for something fun and light – she usually will be your best bet!

  1. A Chocolate brown Jumpsuit by Juno – The Label

Jumpsuits are usually the most sought after indo-western option. If it’s in such an interesting color – they are sure to get you noticed. This particular outfit has a rustic feel to the work, which I absolutely love because it tones down the look. The best part is honestly the color being so different than the usual Indian colors.

Juno specializes in indo-western outfits – they have modern cuts with traditional hand work – so basically every outfit is Indian at heart! They have a lot of jumpsuits, gowns, lovely capes and embroidered shirts – all things which should be a part of your festive wardrobe! Also, the founder – Sulekha Madan is a great stylist. If you are looking for styling solutions feel free to call her as well!

  1. This Vibrant Green dupatta from Begum

If you are into pretty dupattas – look no more. Sophistication can be Begum’s last name. I genuinely ended up selecting 3-4 dupattas and was thoroughly confused! They have an array of colours and I decided to go bold this time. I picked up this bright green dupatta (with a matching unstitched suit), but I wanted to give it a different look as well so at the suggestion of one of the founder’s got this hot pink anarkali stitched with it! Whenever I am in a mood to go totally Indian – this seems to be perfect. With just earrings and a nice ring – the Pooh bani Parvati look is complete!

A beautiful mother and 2-daughter trio runs ‘Begum’ – they specialize in applique work (I have never seen such good applique work ever). Take a look at their collection whenever you can – they usually do only exhibitions but here are their details –

  1. A no-fuss Cape and Dhoti set from Bellisima by Aditi

Indo-western and no fuss is totally my style. For the days when you are too tired to wear anything very heavy, blingy, fussy and all that – this half-cape half-top asymmetrical top with a stitched dhoti is your answer. I pair it up with rose gold bug earrings and rose gold flat bellies –Voila! A perfect card party look for the tired soul! Wine is again the in color this season and pairing it with off white dhoti brightens it up a bit (black looks too dark)

This brand is based in Kolkata and Aditi is a total sweetheart – all you got to do is talk to her. She has an array of designs and customizes to the T! For the first time I didn’t have to get any alterations to an outfit. Can’t wait for her to come for an exhibition here.

You can get in touch with her at +91-9831330183, still trying to convince her to come on social media!

  1. A one side Off-shoulder by Voiix

Like they say, save the best for the last. To be honest I bought this outfit last year and I think I have over-worn it (if that’s possible). Grey is an unusual color but this piece is truly classy. One side off-shoulder, one side mirror patch with tassles, a light drape and WOW! Stilettos and diamonds are this outfits best friend.

Voiix is for sure one of my go-to brands. The style is super chic and trendy. I love their collection each and everytime and I cannot wait to get more outfits done from Sahiba. She understands your style also very well and gives your recommendations as per your body type – which is great!

I have genuinely tried to coax each and every designer above to market herself more! I absolutely adore their work and have tried them personally before writing this piece. Don’t forget Diwali is all about getting dressed up and having fun so keep it fun, comfortable, budget-friendly yet stylish 😉

P.s. – Most of these outfits are below 10k and I think one is around 11.5k
